Easy Brain Building Tips for the Whole Family

July 18, 2014

Families are busy, but it’s important to make sure no one is left behind— especially when it comes to learning. I’ve rounded up some tips to make brain building easy and fun for the whole family. If you are struggling with how to make it even easier, then read a post I did a few weeks ago to help you out. I know that what works for one does not work for all. However, the tips below are made to make brain building tips that will fit the whole family.

1. Play some video games. There is a reason why Mind Craft and Angry Birds are winning the hearts of all, including teachers. We love that they are mind exercises behind all the glitz and glam.

2. Play a game of cards. Some of my favorites are Go Fish, Crazy Eights, Uno, and Gin Rummy.

(Did you notice I said play at least twice?? Learning that is tied to positive emotions tends to stick with a person better than just going through the motions!)

3. Go outside and move. Sounds simple, but getting the blood flowing helps you to learn better as your energize those brain cells.

4. Meditate together! Take a moment to relax and take it all in. Do some cloud watching outside while you are at it and share what images you see in the clouds.

As always, let me know below what you think of this blog post. How do these tips work for you and your family?

Happy Summer Learning,
